Cruise ships dock at either Pier 10-11 at Aloha Tower or Pier 2 (nearby and primarily used by NCL’s Pride of America for Hawaiian cruises). Aloha Tower is right next to the downtown area and has almost 30 stores and restaurants to navigate. Port facilities are limited, but with Aloha Tower and the Marketplace located right next door, we recommend heading over once you’ve disembarked for everything you’ll need.

There are two fantastic times of the year which are particularly lovely for visiting Honolulu, Oahu. Again, it depends on which islands you want to visit as each area is different during certain times of the year.
April-May or September-October - The best temperatures are during these months.
November-January - The best months if you’re travelling for surfing.
December right through to April are usually considered the busiest months of the year and ‘high season’. The islands can be a little more pricey around these months.
Transport in Honolulu
Honolulu has an extensive bus network called TheBus which navigates pretty much the entire island.
Taxi’s line up everywhere so you’re never far from hailing a ride in a cab. The Waikiki Trolley (cable car) operates more than 50 trolleys on three lines. The Red Line stops at 13 different and exciting sights in Honolulu, including Chinatown, Iolani Palace and the Aloha Tower Marketplace. Lyft and Uber apps operate in Honolulu if you wish to download the app before you disembark.
