Specs: Silver Spirit at a glance
Silversea's largest ship, the Silver Spirit weighs 36,000 tonnes and measures 642 feet in length. She can accommodate a maximum of 540 passengers and 376 crew members, creating an intimate, friendly atmosphere. Her cruise speed is 20.3 knots.

Accommodation: Silver Spirit and suites
A cruise on board the Silver Spirit is a truly relaxing experience. With only suites to choose from, you are guaranteed luxurious accommodation, as well as the personal service of a butler and junior attendant.

There are six suite categories, with some featuring picture windows and others coming with spacious balconies. The smallest measure 312 square feet, while the largest come in at an impressive 1,668 square feet.

All suites have separate living and dining areas, luxurious Italian marble bathrooms, flatscreen televisions and iPod stations. The Silver, Grand and Owner categories also include nice extra touches, such as whirlpool tubs, espresso makers and the opportunity to enjoy dinner at the officer's table.

Entertainment: things to do on board the Silver Spirit
From live jazz performances to quiet card games, the entertainment staff do an extraordinary job to ensure there's a wide range of fun to be had across the ship. Here are some highlights:

Destinations: Silver Spirit itineraries

Examples include a private art and archaeology tour in Istanbul, a stunning horseback trail ride in Malta and a hidden Hollywood highlights tour in Los Angeles.

Things to remember: On board the Silver Spirit
  • The dress code is smart casual - think resortwear - and there are usually at least two formal nights per cruise.
  • All gratuities are included in your Silver Spirit cruise fare and the onboard currency is US dollars.
  • Children aged 12 months or over are permitted to sail on the Silver Spirit, but please note there are no organised youth areas or facilities.

I have enjoyed visiting as much of the world as possible over the years. Europe and the Mediterranean are personal favourites, but there is so much to see very close to our little Australasian corner of the globe- one of my top travel experiences was snorkeling with tropical fish and turtles in New Caledonia! Cruising is a fantastic way to see it all, and we hope to make booking a cruise easier for both first-timers and old salts. From ship tips to destination news and views, we will keep you up-to-date. Happy cruising!

During days at sea, choose something from La Collection du Monde, a series of signature dishes created exclusively for Silversea cruises by the Grands Chefs Relais & Châteaux.

The Restaurant on board this luxury cruise ship offers open-seating dining, which means there are no assigned times, no assigned tables. You are free to dine when, where and with whom you please.

Stars Supper Club

The Art Deco-inspired decor of this dining venue aboard the Silver Spirit luxury cruise ship, elegantly recalls the supper clubs of the 1930s.

Trendsetting menus offer a modern twist, showcasing regional and seasonal delicacies of the cruise destination to be enjoyed in a succession of small courses.
