The line also offers unique voyages with interesting destinations off the beaten path, appealing to the intrepid and discerning cruise lover. The juxtaposition of adventure and comfort means that passengers get the best of both worlds! What's more, the line has cruises from Australia so Aussie fans can get onboard with minimum travel.
The Seabourn fleet
The line has four ships currently sailing the seven seas, and one more on the books - the Seabourn Encore debuted in December 2016, while her sister ship the Seabourn Ovation is yet to come in 2018. In the meantime, the trio of Seabourn vessels is providing all kinds of amazing cruises.
- Seabourn Odyssey: Carrying 450 passengers, this highly-rated ship is sleek on the outside, classy and comfortable on the inside. Like its fleetmates, it's small enough to be intimate yet big enough for some great facilities.
- Seabourn Quest: This sleek vessel which centers on the hub that is "Seabourn Square" is a wonderful setting for any luxury cruise. She sails some very intrepid itineraries around the globe.
- Seabourn Sojourn: With a focus on exceptional service, the beautiful surroundings of the Sojourn are just the icing on the cake. Here also is the lively Seabourn Square, center of life onboard.
- Seabourn Encore: Carrying 600 passengers, this new generation of Seabourn cruising is sleek, elegant and exciting.
With Seabourn, the world is your oyster. They cover most corners of the globe, up to and including Antarctica. On a Seabourn cruise you can visit the fjords of Alaska or Northern Europe, the hidden gems of Australia and New Zealand, the stunning port cities of the Americas, transit the Panama Canal and explore the islands of those two beloved cruising grounds, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean - and that's just the beginning!
Entertainment and activities
The different places which you will visit on your journey are the highlight, and the line has a range of shore excursions to purchase should you want some guidance in your explorations. The "Seabourn Conversations" program onboard includes experts sharing knowledge on the destinations, so you can be well-prepared for your time onshore.
The Conversations cover a wide range of other topics. Guest speakers, professors and other knowledgeable and interesting people lead discussions about the arts, current affairs and history, science and UNESCO World Heritage projects. There are also culinary seminars.
Activities requiring less brainpower are also readily available. There's a spa, a pool, a fitness center, and some great Seabourn touches like complimentary "Massage Moments" on deck and "Marina Days" each sailing with watersports from the pull-down marina facility. In the evenings, there are cocktails and canapes at the open bars, live music, cabaret, a casino and more to keep everyone entertained and socialising.
Dining and drinking
All food options on a Seabourn cruise are top-quality and delicious, and all are complimentary - so passengers can eat what and where they want, when they want, without paying extra for the privilege. The Restaurant is your typical gourmet dining room, while Restaurant 2 is more intimate and serves small-plate tasting menus. The Grill is an American-inspired steakhouse, the Colonnade provides buffet choices and casual grilled dishes, salads, sandwiches and pizzas can be found at the Patio. Meals can also be served in-suite.
Fine wines are poured with lunch and dinner, and bars throughout the ship are open, with no charges for beer, wine, cocktails or anything else. There is even a minibar in each suite stocked with the preferences of the inhabitants.
A note: While the daytime dress code is "resort casual", after 6pm it is "elegant casual" for all dining venues and bars. No jeans! One or two nights per cruise will be designated as formal evenings which require suits or tuxedos and evening or cocktail gowns when dining in The Restaurant.
Every cabin on a Seabourn ship is a suite, and they all have a view of the ocean - many with balconies, some with picture windows. Matching all aspects of life onboard, they are equipped with the best of the best: Egyptian cotton linens, king-sized beds, down and feather pillows, suite stewards, complimentary stocked minibar and all other trappings for a luxurious stay. The highest categories of suites come with free WiFi, an invitation to the bridge, a fruit basket and an espresso machine.
