Pacific Princess Overview

Launched in 1999, the Pacific Princess is on the smaller end of the Princess cruise ship spectrum, enabling her to access a wide range of ports. Her exciting schedule sees her sailing to islands in the South Pacific, through the Panama Canal and on worldwide cruises. Her sister ship is the Ocean Princess.

Specs: the Pacific Princess at a glance

The Pacific Princess weighs 30,277 tonnes, measures 593 feet in length and spans 9 decks. She can accommodate 680 passengers and 350 crew members. Her cruise speed is 18 knots.

Accommodation: Pacific Princess rooms and suites

There are five accommodation categories on the Pacific Princess: Interior Double, Oceanview Double, Oceanview Double with Balcony, Minisuite and Owner's Suite. An impressive 92 per cent of these rooms have beautiful sea views, so unless you opt for a modest interior you will be able to enjoy watching the ocean go by.

Entertainment: things to do on board the Pacific Princess

Destinations: Pacific Princess itineraries

The Pacific Princess has a busy and varied schedule, with several round the world trips each year, as well as shorter sailings to French Polynesia, Hawaii and through the Panama Canal. Shore excursions in the islands tend to focus on swimming, snorkeling and soaking up some sun at the beach, while city ports offer a variety of historical and cultural tours. Some popular examples include a Hollywood Scavenger Hunt in Los Angeles, a day trip to the Australian Parliament in Canberra from Sydney and a scenic gondola ride in Venice.

Things to remember: On board Pacific Princess

Here are some helpful facts to keep in mind when planning a holiday on board the Pacific Princess:
  • This beautiful ship offers a traditional cruise experience, with formal dining and a smart dress code.
  • Families are more than welcome on board, but please be aware that children's facilities are smaller when compared to other Princess ships.
  • One amazing benefit of being on an intimate ship is that the service is absolutely exceptional - if you have any questions or concerns, just ask one of the friendly crew.

I have enjoyed visiting as much of the world as possible over the years. Europe and the Mediterranean are personal favourites, but there is so much to see very close to our little Australasian corner of the globe- one of my top travel experiences was snorkeling with tropical fish and turtles in New Caledonia! Cruising is a fantastic way to see it all, and we hope to make booking a cruise easier for both first-timers and old salts. From ship tips to destination news and views, we will keep you up-to-date. Happy cruising!
