The third ship in the Royal Class for Princess Cruises, the Majestic Princess debuted in the summer of 2017 with her home port currently in Shanghai. She has a capacity of 3,560 passengers, 19 decks, and measures 1,083 feet in length.
Australian travellers will be able to sail locally onboard Majestic Princess during the 2018/2019 season when the brand new vessel arrives in Sydney to home port for the summer.
Princess aims to make all its accommodation options feel like a home away from home, and guest ratings reflect success in this area. There are 1,780 Majestic cabins in total, with an impressive 80 per cent of its staterooms featuring a balcony.
The standard interior room may be suited for those looking to keep costs low, whereas suites are the best option for those who want more space. You may also choose from oceanview rooms, mini-suites and deluxe balcony rooms.
All staterooms include private bathrooms, complimentary room service and basic amenities.
From movie screenings and water shows to original musical productions and guest entertainers, the selection of entertainment options aboard Majestic are endless.
Princess Cruises brings together some of the top choreographers and directors to create world-class stage performances which guests can enjoy as part of their evening activities. Or you can spend time in the casino, relax in the piano bar, or dance until the wee hours in the night club.
In terms of onboard leisure activities, the spas, pools, and sports centres all receive top reviews. Play a round of mini golf, take a dip in the freshwater pool, or indulge in a massage at the top-rated Lotus Spa.
In keeping with its dining motto of ‘designed for fresh', Princess partnered with three award-winning chefs to ensure every dish served is one of perfection. Offering guests a range of standard and specialty dining options, the onboard cuisine was recently described as “shockingly good†by an LA Times reviewer.
Try exquisite dishes from LA chef Curtis Stone in the Main Dining Room, or taste meals planned by French chef Emmanuel Renaut in the bistro-style La Mer. Alternatively, opt for classic Cantonese fare created by celebrated chef Richard Chen at the Harmony restaurant.
