Enjoy the South Pacific isles with your love

Enjoy the South Pacific isles with your love

Seeing verdant tropical isles rise from the horizon is one thing, but getting onshore to explore them properly is quite another - and a fantastic way to create memories with your love. We have found a few shore excursions in the South Pacific which we think are perfect for couples, to go along with our South Pacific cruise destinations for couples. Romance, adventure, and relaxation: they have it all!

Lunch at Le Meridien on the Isle of Pines

This Isle of Pines shore excursion is a splurge, perfect for a special occasion or a date day. This luxurious, boutique resort is a short drive from the cruise dock and will offer you the experience of being a guest there for the day, including a delicious lunch.

The pool, private beach and all of the watersports equipment are available for use, so you can do as much or as little as takes your fancy, and enjoy being in the company of your beloved. Maybe even enjoy a spa treatment!

Oysters and Wine in Hobart

Two glasses of white wine and oysters with lemon

Royal Caribbean has on its books a tasty little shore excursion in Hobart called “Oysters and Wine”, two things which are known to help to set the scene for a romantic day. The four-hour tour heads to both Barilla Bay Oyster Farm and Meadowbank Winery for leisurely visits during which you can taste the products of Tasmania, and learn a few things from knowledgeable guides.

You can sign up for a loved-up day of oysters and wine on a cruise such as Royal Caribbean’s Tasmania Cruise from Sydney.

Day Cruise from Port Denarau

Some couples like a little activity during their time together; and a day cruise is the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Excursions like P&O’s “Plantation Island Day Cruise” from Denarau are great for couples, beginning and ending with a fun boat ride and offering you the run of a beautiful small island, with plenty of opportunities to explore, participate in cooking lessons and other cultural activities, and relax on multiple beautiful beaches.

Get onboard for a day cruise to a gorgeous small Fiji isle when you embark on a cruise like P&O’s Fiji Adventure itinerary.

Bora Bora Glass-Bottomed Boat

The camera peeks between tropical trees to see a couple swimming together in the aqua-coloured waters of Bora Bora

This is the ultimate in tropical treats, and perfect for a couple spending quality time - it offers unforgettable views of what’s underwater in Bora Bora without the decidedly unromantic scuba gear getting in the way. Enjoy sitting side by side, holding hands and marvelling at tropical fish, then return to the amazing beaches and natural wonders that abound in Bora Bora for a little more lazing.

The glass-bottomed boat tours are available on many lines, and they last just an hour or two, leaving the rest of the day wide open for romantic strolls, cocktails and sunbathing.
