Get amongst it with Azamara

With just two mid-sized ships cruising the globe, Azamara Club Cruises really is a boutique line - and the good news is, it includes the South Pacific in its scheduling! They are big on destination immersion - that is, giving you a full experience of the wonderful places you visit. Onboard, life is swell with the fantastic service, plush ship interiors and extreme comfort which comes standard with a luxury line.

The fleet
Azamara’s pair of beautiful ships can be recognised by their dark blue livery.

All-inclusive
Azamara’s brand of inclusive fares comprises open bars, shuttles to and from town and city centres, and concierge services. Suite guests also receive butler service and free dining in specialty restaurants.

One very cool inclusion is the AzAmazing Evenings, which are held on all cruises of a week or more. Unique to Azamara, they are bespoke immersion experiences, designed to give a taste of the real flavour of the port. Examples include a night at the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, a Maori performance at Te Papa Museum in wellington, New Zealand, an acrobatic show in Monaco, and a Dia de Los Muertos experience in Mexico.

Service
Personalized service is the name of the game on Azamara, and with one crew member to two passengers it’s easily attained. Small touches like cold water in the gym and bartenders who remember your name make an Azamara cruise feel friendly and cozy.

Dining
Destination immersion extends to the culinary delights on an Azamara cruise, with local ingredients and specialties served in Discoveries Restaurant, the main dining room, The Patio which is a casual pool grill by day and an al-fresco dining situation by night, and Windows Cafe which is the buffet option with international stations including one featuring produce bought in-port.

Azamara does have two specialty options, which charge a cover fee. Prime C steakhouse and Aqualina Italian are both top-notch restaurants for a special night out.

Entertainment
Lounges, bars and spots to relax together are plentiful on the Azamara ships. There’s also a cabaret lounge, a casino and the crew put together parties on some nights - often with themes! During the day, the Drawing Room offers a quiet refuge, there is a range of enrichment lectures, speakers, tastings, demonstrations and activities (quite often destination-focused) and for a more active way to pass the time there is the gym with complimentary fitness classes, a spa, and of course the pool.

I have enjoyed visiting as much of the world as possible over the years. Europe and the Mediterranean are personal favourites, but there is so much to see very close to our little Australasian corner of the globe- one of my top travel experiences was snorkeling with tropical fish and turtles in New Caledonia! Cruising is a fantastic way to see it all, and we hope to make booking a cruise easier for both first-timers and old salts. From ship tips to destination news and views, we will keep you up-to-date. Happy cruising!
