Celebrity introduces a game changer

Celebrity Cruises has always been an innovative line, with their premium cruise product, spacious ships and modern facilities earning them high praise from cruise lovers in Australia and worldwide. Their Celebrity Solstice spends her summers Down Under, and has fast become a favourite in the Aussie cruise market.
Now, Celebrity is changing the game again. Their "Go Big, Go Better, Go Best" permanent promotion, to be released in August, is a revolution in the way we book cruises, and will make it simple and affordable to get all of those added extras like onboard credit, WiFi, drinks packages and gratuities.
The three-tiered program has three options, one of which is included in the basic Celebrity cruise fare. When booking you can choose to go Big, go Better or go Best, and reap the rewards when you embark.

The extras

The program offers four added extras:
  • Classic Beverage Package, which includes beers up to $6 per serving, cocktails, spirits and liqueurs up to $8 per serving, and wine by the glass up to $9 per serving (valued at US$55 per person per day).
  • Prepaid gratuities which takes care of the service charges usually added to your onboard account each day.
  • Unlimited Internet, access to WiFi throughout the ship which normally incurs a hefty charge.
  • $150 onboard credit per person to be used throughout your cruise.

Go Big

This level of the program is included in your cruise fare, meaning you pay no more than usual! You can choose from one of the above extras to be added to your booking. Get onboard and enjoy internet, or drinks, or extra spending money, or not having to tip - whichever is the best choice for you!

Go Better

This level costs $20 per person per day on top of your cruise fare. Worth it? We think so! It allows you to choose another of the extras to add to your booking - so for a small added cost each day you get two luxuries that can turn your cruise from a good one into a great one.

Go Best

For the ultimate in all-inclusive cruising, you can pay $60 per person per day above the standard "Go Big" fare and benefit from all of the above. That's unlimited drinks and internet, no need to worry about gratuities and a pile of extra spending money, for less than what the drinks package currently costs by itself. If that wasn't enough, Celebrity will upgrade the drinks package from Classic to Premium (valued at US$65 per person per day) when you opt for "Go Best."
Being able to customise your cruise experience is fantastic, and Celebrity is offering an affordable and easy way to do just that - you can pick and choose the inclusions you want, and get a taste of the benefits of higher cabin grades or all-inclusive cruises.
A few things to keep in mind when booking your Celebrity getaway: These benefits are available only to the first two passengers in each cabin (3rd and 4th passengers will get a non-alcoholic drinks package and 40-minute internet package), and they must both opt for the same deal. These are available only to guests sailing in oceanview categories or higher. The deal will be available for most Celebrity itineraries of four nights or more with a few exceptions like Celebrity Xpedition cruises and repositioning voyages.

I have enjoyed visiting as much of the world as possible over the years. Europe and the Mediterranean are personal favourites, but there is so much to see very close to our little Australasian corner of the globe- one of my top travel experiences was snorkeling with tropical fish and turtles in New Caledonia! Cruising is a fantastic way to see it all, and we hope to make booking a cruise easier for both first-timers and old salts. From ship tips to destination news and views, we will keep you up-to-date. Happy cruising!
