This megaship will stay longer than originally planned.

Royal Caribbean has already extended the inaugural Australia season for their new megaship Ovation of the Seas, and announced a second season of cruising in the summer of 2017/2018. A new announcement has added even more opportunities for Aussie cruisers to get onboard this amazing ship, which is set to be the biggest to sail from Sydney when she arrives later this year.

Second season extended
The Ovation of the Seas will stay an extra five weeks beyond her planned second season in 2107/2018. This will allow six new itineraries to be added to her schedule, finishing with a repositioning cruise from Sydney to Singapore on the 26th of March 2016.

Other new additions in February and March will include an 8-night South Pacific cruise, a 5-night jaunt to Tasmania, two 10-night New Zealand itineraries and a 3-night sampler.

Onboard the Ovation
A team from Cruise Sale Finder will be making the trip to Beijing next month to see the Ovation christened, so we will have all the insider details and photos we want then. In just a few more months, she will be Down Under and many of our cruise clients will be able to get onboard for themselves - until then, we only have the details that Royal Caribbean has released and they are providing plenty to look forward to.

The ship holds 6,400 passengers and crew, more than many small Australian towns. With this vastness comes a huge range of options in all aspects of holidaying: dining, entertainment and relaxation. This third member of the Quantum Class offers Australians some new and exciting features such as the Ripcord by iFly skydiving simulator, the North Star viewing pod which flies high above the decks, multi-use venues like the vast SeaPlex and even a bionic bar with drink-making robots.

Ovation of the Seas

If you're keen for a taste of this amazing new vessel, take a look at our Ovation of the Seas sale page where all new itineraries will soon be available.

I have enjoyed visiting as much of the world as possible over the years. Europe and the Mediterranean are personal favourites, but there is so much to see very close to our little Australasian corner of the globe- one of my top travel experiences was snorkeling with tropical fish and turtles in New Caledonia! Cruising is a fantastic way to see it all, and we hope to make booking a cruise easier for both first-timers and old salts. From ship tips to destination news and views, we will keep you up-to-date. Happy cruising!
