Shore excursions are a well loved staple of cruise holidays, so the introduction of a new set of excursions is usually nothing to get too excited about. However, Royal Caribbean’s newly announced Noumea excursions are a little bit out of the ordinary. Ovation of the Seas will be sailing into Noumea in November for an overnight stay, offering guests the chance to try out a special selection of evening shore excursions.
As part of a South Pacific cruise out of Sydney, Ovation’s nighttime Noumea rendezvous allows cruisers to choose from three different experiences, each showing off a different side of New Caledonia’s capital.
An Evening in Lemon Bay - Dinner and Show at Le Duke’s will introduce guests to one of Noumea’s most visitor-friendly neighbourhoods for a night of food, culture and exploration. First stop will be a meal at the popular Duke’s diner, complete with live traditional Tahitian entertainment. With their bellies full of delicious food, guests can then take a couple hours to enjoy Lemon Bay’s nightlife, with its French Riviera vibe, boutique shopping and alfresco lounges.
The Discover the South of Noumea excursion treats guests to a wealth of experiences around the island of Grand Terre. Setting out on a seven hour adventure, visitors to the island will explore prison ruins and a beautiful old church before taking a nature walk and picnicking next to a scenic waterfall.
The All-Inclusive Sunset Cruise is exactly what it sounds like. Guests step aboard a high-speed luxury yacht and coast along Noumea’s scenic shoreline as the sun goes down, all while savouring complimentary cocktails and light refreshments.
The Ovation of the Seas will be departing Sydney on the 14th of November 2018, and is set to arrive in Noumea on the 17th of November - the cruise will also continue on to Vanuatu’s Mystery Island once guests have had the chance to discover Noumea at night. Don’t miss out on your chance to see a different side of New Caledonia aboard the amazing Ovation of the Seas.
