Celebrity has something a little extra in store for 2019

When it comes to adventure cruising, there’s no denying that Alaska is amongst the most enviable places on earth. Similarly, in the world of modern luxury cruising, Celebrity Cruises stands head and shoulders above the competition. So the news that Celebrity will be sailing three different ships in Alaska for the 2019 summer season should have discerning adventure cruisers perking up their ears.

The Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Millennium will be joined in 2019 by the Celebrity Eclipse, rounding out a powerhouse Alaskan trio for the cruise line. Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, President and CEO, Celebrity Cruises said of the upcoming Alaska season, “With Celebrity Millennium emerging fresh from the Celebrity Revolution - the largest investment the brand has ever made to modernise our fleet - longer port visits, and one-of-a-kind cruise tour experiences, our 2019 Alaska season is shaping up to be the most impressive yet. Add to that the addition of Celebrity Eclipse and we have what promises to be an unrivalled season of unexpected splendour in the region.”

Each vessel will be showing cruisers a different side of Alaska, so you can tailor your experience to get what you want most out of this majestic region.

The Celebrity Eclipse is heading to Alaskan waters for the first time in 2019.

Celebrity Eclipse

Making its Alaskan debut in 2019, the Eclipse will be covering all the best destinations on the Pacific Coast this season. Embark in Vancouver to catch the classic sights of Alaska: Ketchikan, Juneau and Hubbard Glacier are all on the menu. Alternatively, you could opt for a warmer trip and catch iconic Californian destinations including Santa Barbara, Monterey and San Francisco - there’s even an overnight stay scheduled for the Golden Gate city.

The Celebrity Millennium will be fresh from a major overhaul for its 2019 Alaska season.

Celebrity Millennium

In addition to cruising in one of the most spectacular places in the world, guests aboard the Celebrity Millennium in 2019 will get to luxuriate in a ship that’s come back fresh from a multi-million dollar revitalization. Both staterooms and public areas have been thoroughly overhauled, so while you cruise from Vancouver to Seward (or the other way around) you can enjoy all the perks of a ship that feels almost brand new.

The Celebrity Solstice is an Alaskan veteran, so anyone heading north on the Solstice should know they’re in safe hands.

Celebrity Solstice

The Solstice will be sailing from Seattle once again, with iconic Alaskan ports like Victoria, Ketchikan and Skagway in its sights. Not only that, but the Solstice will be traversing the breathtaking Tracy Arm Fjord as part of its voyages. When you’re not on deck admiring Alaska’s rugged beauty, you might want to indulge in A Taste of Film, a unique experience which pairs movies with cuisine that brings the film to life.

Cruisetour Experiences

It almost seems wrong to merely gaze at Alaska’s coastline from a distance - which is why Celebrity is offering you the chance to delve deeper into the imposing Alaskan countryside with overland tours which are paired up with your Celebrity cruise. There are two different Canadian Rockies Cruisetours to choose from, so make sure you ask about these incredible experiences to complement your cruise.

2019 might sound like it’s a while away, but don’t forget that 2018 is just around the corner now (yikes!) and the best spots on these enviable sailings will start to fill up very soon. Take a peek at these Celebrity Alaska offerings, and start dreaming of the most luxurious adventure ever.

From party cruises in the Baltic to a classy Cunard voyage, I’ve been lucky enough to experience the full spectrum of cruise life. Onboard you’ll probably find me by the pool with a doorstop sized book in one hand and a mojito in the other, or sampling an array of delicious foods.
