An excellent experience with 3 generations of family. All totally loved the experience! The staff were excellent and the entertainment ... Wow????
It was great to have so many choices of foods catering for the fussy to the gourmet eaters in our group. I just loved the silver service evening meals each night - very spoilt indeed!????
Every thing was perfect the weather and sea conditions. We were cruising with lots of Americans and Aussies who loved our country. We were so proud to be cruising our own country New Zealand and it was hitting home runs with the visitors.
Celebrity Solstice is a fine ship those who say otherwise have probably done too many cruises and can only remember the good thing on previous ships.
The food was great. As usual, But I did find the MDR even better for lunch.
Murano is simply our favourite spot to dine. Pity it has no view on Solstice.
Couldn't think of what a cruise would be like with no drinks package.
We almost lived at the Martini bar. Wonderful staff.
We did not use the Celebrity shore tours.
Our room was great but don't see value in the Conceiage room. Except it got us a helipad viewing of the entry to Milford sound. Oh yes all 3 perks so may be worth it. Afternoon canapes not up to those on Century 2 years ago.
Entertainment brought onto ship very high standard.
Pre purchasing all photos and having 195 prints to take home a flash drive and a DVD all for $220 was awesome. We loved posing for photos at every opportunity.
This was my first cruise, and it could not have been better. The staff were amazing, couldn't do for me, being a single lady, I was not left sitting alone at the party areas, always a staff member to come and get me up to dance, very impressed by this, as its not much fun sitting watching everyone
else with partners having a great time.
The ship was immaculate at all times, the only thing I would do next cruise, is probably get a porthole or balcony cabin.
The Greek islands were beautiful, the sea so blue, and the weather was great as well.
Shame it was raining as we came back into Venice, but still enjoyed it.
I cant wait to do another cruise, and hope I get the service that Celebrity Cruises gave me.
One special part of my cruise, was when we docked at Suda Bay, and I got a taxi to the cemetery there, placed NZ poppies and flags on all the kiwi men who had died in World war 2. My Dad was taken prisoner by Germans, and was in a transit camp at Suda Bay, so it was very emotional for me, it was on my bucket list to go there to see the place where he was captured.
My First Cruise with Celebrity but have cruised in excess of 25 times. I Was looking forward to it very much as I had very good reports about this cruise line. Initially impressions were good the ship was very clean and very modern, the cabin which was a sunset veranda was as expected of high
quality and it delivered with the view that we were looking for, the cabin stewards did a fine job except that were a bit lax about cleaning the balcony which did get a little black soot but nothing to worry about.
The staff in the entire ship were always friendly and the service was exceptional, the classic drinks package had sufficient drinks included to satisfy most drinkers.
The ship however seemed very crowded at times , having been on a few of these super liners this seemed more crowded than usual particularly at dining time which was disappointing until we sorted it out. The select dining (of which we had no choice)was awful with no being able to make a reservation even in the morning and then having to wait up to 30 mins for a table, some people even longer, I think they need to have more people with the set times as it just doesn't work.
Overall the ports were great but the ships excursions were extremely over priced and we booked others on the internet for half the price.
Would definitely try them again but at the right price.
The Baltic cruise takes you places that are exciting, and different! The distance, however, means that sea days need to be busy to keep the level of fun and novelty equal to the destinations. More activities would be an improvement. The lack of an enclosed roof over the pool area meant crowding in
areas when the weather was less than perfect. Staff were always helpful and the ship's decor was very comfortable. Shopping was limited so quieter pursuits, like reading, board games, and sociable meetings were primary sea day activities.
Dining options are varied.
On board entertainers were very good, however there were too few occasions to enjoy the productions.
Specialist entertainers were high quality.
Great destination, great crew and ship, great food and entertainment, great everything!!! Loved it!!! I'm addicted to cruising... it's the way to holiday... no worries of where to stay, what to eat, what to do and how to get there. Everything is sorted!!!
My wife and I have cruised over the last few years quite regularly and intend to do quite a lot more! We love the atmosphere being on the water, relaxing, meeting new people and most of all the shows you entertain us with. I highly recommend anyone wanting a holiday to try because guaranteed they
too will be hooked on cruising just like us! We have been on a few different cruise liners and cannot fault a bad one yet! Our last cruise over to the south islands was the best as we had 25 of our wonderful family members join us in a "family holiday" a well deserved one too I might add..!!!!! We went on Carnival Spirit in April 2014 that was great. The holiday before was out of Fort Lauderdale in America, now that was along side 7 others of our family members. That is my favourite cruise liner so far! I'm looking to see if we can out do the Celebrity Equinox.. I doubt it, it's a really beautiful ship! I have a short cruise booked this week to Port Arthur only a 5 day cruise this time but will still be amazing and really looking forward to it. I LOVE CRUISING and will continue to get friends and family to cruise with me. Thank you for your free book I look forward to reading it and booking another.
My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon on board the celebrity Century October 2010. The whole experience was truly amazing. The staff were so delightful, professional, skilled and went out of their way to make the trip so special. The entertainment every night was of a high standard and something
to look forward to. The food was always served by pleasant staff. The cabin was so comfortable and kept extremely clean. There was so much to do and so little if that was the choice. Our opinion is that every one should do at least one cruise in a life time to understand the high level of customer service. That of course is down to the training provided. I can only say that the waiters who attended us each night displayed humour and respect and went out of their way to make each and every one of us feel so special.
The bands were so talented and provided wonderful entertainment each night. There was nothing more special than having a dance in the evening before attending dinner.
The variety of bars around the ship led to very entertaining experiences particularly in the cocktail room. There was absolutely nothing to dislike about the cruise and being our honeymoon we had the time of our lives.
I have an absolute passion for cruising. I was thoroughly impressed with Celebrity Solstice, she is a grand lady of the sea. The cabin spectacular, best I've ever had. I opened the door to my balcony and there was our beautiful Opera house. Sailing out of Sydney a highlight. The whole ship was
great, the staff very considerate and helpful, the shows wonderful, the food delicious, I am coeliac, I had a great range to pick from. I must say the Epernay Restaurant is the best at sea, sheer opulence. the Solarium was my favourite place. Never a dull moment, always something to do. Full Tilt singing group are so talented they sing without music. The glass show was unbelievable, it took great skill. The whole feel of the ship is so inviting. The ports a dream, my favourite Bora Bora, the snorkelling magical. Moorea and Maui ,great too , great to stay at these ports longer. I would thoroughly recommend Celebrity Solstice to anyone. She was my home for 18 nights. It was quite nostalgic when she sailed into my home town, Newcastle the following year. I must say I shed a tear. I would rate Celebrity Solstice 5 stars. plus
