P&O Cruises UK Adonia Overview

Intimate, charming and oh-so-relaxing - Adonia, P&O's exclusive adults-only cruise ship, is an absolute pleasure to travel on. Home to fun entertainment, delicious restaurants and beautiful accommodation, this lovely vessel is the perfect place to escape the daily grind and enjoy a stress-free holiday at sea.

Specs: Adonia at a glance
The Adonia is positively petite when compared with other ships. She weighs 30,200 tonnes, measures 592 feet in length and spans 8 passenger decks. With accommodation for only 710 guests and 300 crew members, the atmosphere on board is intimate and convivial - you're sure to make some great friends.

Accommodation: Adonia rooms and suites
The Adonia caters for all budgets and needs, with four accommodation categories throughout the ship: inside rooms, outside rooms, balcony rooms and suites. All of these options are comfortable and well-presented and come with a flatscreen television, a hair dryer and ample storage space. Toiletries are supplied by The White Company, a nice touch.

Suites are a little more luxurious. In addition to more space (including separate living areas), suite guests enjoy butler service, whirlpool bathtubs, DVD players, as well as fresh flowers, fruit and champagne on arrival.

Entertainment: things to do on board the Adonia
There is plenty to keep you occupied on the Adonia, whether you're in the mood for socialising or quiet relaxation - here are some highlights:

Destinations: Adonia itineraries
The Adonia spends most of her time cruising the Caribbean and South America, with some sailings to ports in the United States too. The shore excursions available vary from port to port, but there is always a tour to suit all interests and activity levels. Some examples include a submarine experience in Barbados, a leisurely drive through Costa Rican countryside and a helicopter tour of Antigua.

Things to remember: Onboard the Adonia
Planning a trip cruise on the Adonia? Here are a few things to keep in mind:
  • The atmosphere on the Adonia is quite traditional - the dress code is smart casual by day, but by 6pm formalwear is required.
  • Daily gratuities are expected, but these are not added automatically to your account - instead you can pay by cash at the end of your cruise.
  • Don't forget the Adonia is an adults-only ship - if you're travelling with family, you're best to try another P&O vessel, such as Azura or Aurora.
