Surabaya is the location of the only synagogue in Indonesia, as well as the Grand Mosque of Surabaya or Al-Akbar Mosque, the largest mosque in East Java. One of the 17,508 islands that comprise the Republic of Indonesia, Komodo Island lies at the southern end of the Lesser Sunda chain. This 150-square-mile island has a king, and it’s a reptile. The Komodo dragon, Earth’s largest living lizard, weighs approximately 155 pounds, measures around ten feet in length and has a lifespan of up to 50 years. To put these creatures in perspective, there are 2,000 humans on Komodo Island and around 3,000 Komodo dragons. They are fierce meat eaters who feast on deer and carrion. Now isn’t it time you met one? And Then you can enjoy a relaxing walk on a gorgeous pink sand beach.

Benoa
Located between Java and Lombok in the western-most end of Indonesia’s Lesser Sunda Islands, Bali is as mysterious and beautiful as a South Sea island pearl. Do you find Balinese culture fascinating? Trek up a fog-shrouded hill to the graceful Tanah Lot Temple, perched precariously on a rocky outcropping overlooking the sea. Explore Tohpati, where master dyers painstakingly transform fabric into colorful, one-of-a-kind batiks. Immerse yourself in Balinese dance and see how ritual movement and percussion can bring tales of spiritual struggle to life.
