Total length of cruise: 28 - nights

Set sail from Singapore on your 26-night Far East and Indonesian Discovery Collector Cruise to:

Tanjung Priok
Tanjung Priok is your gateway to Jakarta, Indonesia’s largest city and exotic capital. Visit The National Museum of Indonesia chronicling sixteen centuries of history; explore Indonesian culture at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah; wander the streets of Old Town and learn about Dutch colonial architecture; tour Masjid Istiqlal (Independence Mosque), the largest mosque in Southeast Asia; and shop for treasures in one of the city’s excellent shopping malls.

Semarang
Step back into the colonial days of the Dutch East India Company in Old Semerang. Or journey to Borobudur Temple, where ten massive stone terraces, each representing a different stage of enlightenment, are topped by the Great Stupa. Sample shore excursions: Semarang City Tour; Borobudur.

Surabaya, Indonesia
This beautiful city is packed with appealing activities, from shopping to cultural excursions to world-class golf courses. Explore the dozens of malls and markets filled with high-end luxury items and artsier local crafts. Surabaya is the location of the only synagogue in Indonesia, as well as the Grand Mosque of Surabaya or Al-Akbar Mosque, the largest mosque in East Java. Explore the treasures of the Mpu Tantular Museum with its large collection of ancient Javanese artifacts, and the Surabaya Zoo, opened in 1916, the first in the world to have successfully bred orangutans in captivity.

Komodo Island
One of the 17,508 islands that comprise the Republic of Indonesia, Komodo Island lies at the southern end of the Lesser Sunda chain. This 150-square-mile island has a king, and it’s a reptile. The Komodo dragon, Earth’s largest living lizard, weighs approximately 155 pounds, measures around ten feet in length and has a lifespan of up to 50 years. To put these creatures in perspective, there are 2,000 humans on Komodo Island and around 3,000 Komodo dragons. They are fierce meat eaters who feast on deer and carrion. Now isn’t it time you met one? Visitors can take a guided tour of Komodo National Park (which encompasses the island) to experience these and other unique animals. Continue your explorations with the island’s human inhabitants who are proud to share their culture. Then enjoy a relaxing walk on a gorgeous pink sand beach.

Lembar
One of our "off the beaten path" destinations, Lembar is located on the island of Lombok, just east of Bali. With its slow pace, beautiful beaches, enchanting waterfalls, and Mount Rinjani, Indonesia’s second highest volcano, Lombok offers quite days amidst spectacular beauty. Discover Tanjung Aan near the Kuta Beach, where the sand looks like pepper; shop for local handicrafts and weavings in the islands small villages; and drink from the fountain of youth at Narmada Park. Sample shore excursions: Mataram Highlights, Sasak Native Village & Kuta Beach.

Benoa
Located between Java and Lombok in the western-most end of Indonesia’s Lesser Sunda Islands, Bali is as mysterious and beautiful as a South Sea island pearl. Do you find Balinese culture fascinating? Trek up a fog-shrouded hill to the graceful Tanah Lot Temple, perched precariously on a rocky outcropping overlooking the sea. Explore Tohpati, where master dyers painstakingly transform fabric into colorful, one-of-a-kind batiks. Immerse yourself in Balinese dance and see how ritual movement and percussion can bring tales of spiritual struggle to life. Discover intricate teak and ebony masks and other hand-carved treasures in the artist’s colony of Ubud. Visitors who prefer exotic plants and animals should tour the Sangeh Monkey forest where hundreds of monkeys frolic among swaying nutmeg trees. At day’s end, take in the iconic views of Jimbaran Bay, as hundreds of fishing boats head out with the sunset.

Probolinggo, Java, Indonesia
Discover the wonders of Probolinggo, an area of East Java, with a strong sense of tradition and centuries-old customs. Bordered by Mount Semeru, Mount Bromo, and Mount Argopuro, Probolinggo also boasts a beautiful coastal beach. Enjoy strolling quiet streets, visiting view points and cultural highlights, including Madakaripura Waterfall, Gili Ketapang Island, Bentar Beach, Jabung Temple and Rengganis Peak.

Bangkok (Laem Chabang)
With its hulking skyscrapers and ultramodern hotels, Bangkok is one of the most contemporary cities in Asia. Thankfully, it never lost its Thai charm, with the museums, temples, food and, of course, people that make Bangkok both quintessentially Thai and culturally diverse. One great way to think about your exploration of Bangkok is to traverse the streets for a taste of the modern, but to get a feel for the historical, more old-style Bangkok, take to the canals.

Sihanoukville
Known for its white sand beaches, warm Gulf of Thailand waters, and laid back atmosphere, Sihanoukville is a premiere beach lovers' destination. Built in the late 1950s, the town is much newer and more cosmopolitan than most Cambodian provincial cities. Spend the day exploring miles of unspoiled beaches or chose one and swim, snorkel or simply relax under a beach umbrella.

Phu My
Whether you are on a wide boulevard admiring the French Colonial architectural influence, or in a bustling market haggling with a street vendor, you cannot escape the culture and history of this bustling city. Ho Chi Minh City is home to many colorful pagodas, cathedrals and palaces-including one of the city's oldest, Giac Lam Pagoda, dating from 1744.

Nha Trang
White sand beaches, turquoise waters, beachfront cafés. Nha Trang's days as an underappreciated treasure are over. Still very much intact since the 7th century are the venerated towers of the Cham Ponagar Temple complex. Sample shore excursions: Nha Trang City Tour; Nha Trang Countryside.

Da Nang
Located on the South China Sea, Da Nang is a major port city and your gateway to the natural and ancient wonders of Vietnam. Gaze upon the five peaks of the Marble Mountains - long a source of inspiration for Vietnamese artisans; visit the palace and pavilions of Hue, the Imperial City of the Nguyen emperors; and explore the charming merchant town of Hoi An and nearby China Beach.

Halong Bay
The great Vietnamese poet and statesman Nguyen Trai called it the "rock wonder in the sky." In designating it a World Heritage Site, UNESCO describes it as "spectacular seascape of limestone pillars." It's name translates as "Descending Dragon Bay." Geologists call it karst topography, and say it's what happens when soluble bedrock wears away over millions of years. Halong Bay, located on Vietnam's northeast coast, is otherworldly no matter what words you choose. About 2,000 limestone islands stipple the vast bay, most of them rising hundreds of feet sheer from the sea. If, as you cruise along, you find words fail to capture the beauty of the place, be at ease. They never do.

Hong Kong
You feel the buzz of South Asia's legendary financial generator the moment you arrive. Immersing yourself in Hong Kong life takes only seconds as the pulse of the island city-state beats so quickly and never sleeps. The deep-water harbor, the high rise corporate headquarters glowing at night in neon and LED light displays, zillions of restaurants, old world markets, unbelievable shopping — have you rested yet? Only a few of Aberdeen's old world junks and sampans remain, but you can still rise above it all on the tram ride to the top of Victoria Peak. Where else can ancient herbal remedies mix with designer fashions, Buddhist monks, and modern international businessmen?
