Total length of cruise: 17 - nights

Set sail from Sydney on your 17 night Petra abd Eilat Cruise to:

Bombay (Mumbay)
The home of Bollywood and its now world-famous film industry, this is the glamour capital of India. Even more fascinating, however, are the aspects of daily life that constitute the real Mumbai, be it from the sublime to the mundane.

Salalah - Oman
As the capital of Oman’s Dhofar region, the subtropical city of Salalah is renowned for its khareef, the monsoon season from June to September that transforms this “Perfume Capital of Arabia” into an oasis. But this subtropical city has many other year-round natural sights to behold, including the waterfalls, lakes, mountains, and caves of Wadi Darbat, Mughsail Bay, and some of the most beautiful beaches in Oman.

Aqaba
The warm, tranquil waters of the Red Sea are perfect for the growth of corals, and the masses of brilliantly colored fish that live amongst them, making Aqaba a prime attraction for snorkelers and divers. Inland is a vast desert of stark beauty that entranced Lawrence of Arabia when he headquartered in its empty canyons during WWI.

Eilat
Eilat is a desert resort on the shores of the Red Sea, where temperate gulf waters nourish an astonishing variety of fish and corals, and a surprising number of ways to observe them. The snorkeling and diving are outstanding, but for those who prefer to remain dry there are glass bottom boats, a submarine, and the Underwater Observatory. A group of free-wheeling dolphins hangs out on an offshore reef; observe their antics, or jump in and join them.

Safaga - Egypt
Safaga is a gateway to the fabulous ancient temples of Luxor, with their massive columns and statues, and intriguing hieroglyphics, as well as the Pharonic tombs in the Valleys of Kings and Queens. It is the ancient Thebes, the glorious city of the god Amun-Ra, whose Great Temple at Karnak was begun by Ramses II in the 14th century BC.

Suez Canal (passage)

Paphos - Cyprus
With a history dating back more than 8,000 years, Paphos is littered with the remains of every era since the Stone Age, including 4th century underground tombs, the exquisite mosaic floors of four Roman villas, a medieval fort, beautiful old port, Byzantine castle, and the Temple of Aphrodite, Greek goddess of love and beauty, according to myth, born here. Saul of Tarsus came, and converted the Roman proconsul to Christianity.

Athens
Athens has quite a reputation to live up to. Named for Athena, Goddess of Wisdom, the city is credited with being the cradle of European civilization and birthplace of democracy. Ruins and relics of its glory days are scattered throughout the modern city, popping up where you least expect them. Its crowning glory is the Acropolis, perched atop a hillside, and covered in carved and columned temples of varying degrees of antiquity.
